Know-how for tomorrow's power plant
New materials or power plant simulation on the computer, Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Europe is intensively researching and developing new technologies for tomorrow's power plant. Two basic facts lie behind the work of our specialists. One of them is that fossil fuels – and particularly coal – will play a prime role for many years to come in the generation of electricity. The other - viewed against the background of climate change - points to a considerable demand for CO2 reduction technologies.
As a plant constructor and specialist for fossil fuel-fired power plants, Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Europe can build on an extensive know-how and a long list of references in research and development. Amongst the projects our experts are developing are new, highly resilient, nickel-based alloy pressure parts for the 700°C power plant and computer simulated power plant operations for service life optimization of individual items of equipment.
Our company intensively cooperates with universities, institutes and professional associations so as to research into new technologies for efficient and sustained generation of energy. Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Europe is a member of the international research association of our shareholders.
