SABS® Shield for Accelerated Boiler Service
Innovative further development is an important component of the service, and particularly so for power plant service. Here, the experts of Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Europe emphasise the significance of continuous further developments.
A prime example of this that is worth mentioning is the newly developed safety system "SABS® Shield for Accelerated Boiler Service" for work inside large steam generators.
Fully aligned with the motto time is money, a safety module was developed with which considerable time and cost savings can be realised through the utilisation of the SABS® Shield for Accelerated Boiler Service, both in case of planned and unplanned downtime. At the same time, it protects the workers from dropping items during inspections inside the boiler.
SABS® consists of flexible and extremely tear-resistant fabric. It is introduced into the boiler, as needed, and is mounted to a specifically developed supporting structure. SABS® furthermore includes all components necessary for transport, installation and operation.
The SABS® Shield for Accelerated Boiler Service is a patented safety system certified by the German Technical Control Board TÜV Süd that has already been deployed successfully multiple times at customers' sites.
